The Bhote Koshi is regarded as one of the best short white water rafting trips in the world. It is the steepest river that is rafted in Nepal. This river is full-on commitments to making an excitement and a huge adrenaline rush during the entire trip with continuous rapid.
This is an ideal trip for those wanting a short, but intense and thrilling rafting trip. It is better suited to those who have had some previous rafting experience.
There is not much time to look at the mountain scenery once on this river! However, en route there is an excellent opportunity to stop in Dhulikhel to admire the stunning views.
Things to take on a Rafting Trip:
Following are the things that you can include in your rafting trip. Please be informed that the things below are mostly for long rafting trip (2 days or more). You can pick some items from below list as per your requirement for one day rafting and don’t forget waterproof clothing, towel, sunglass with strips, moisturizing lotion etc.
Day one: Kathmandu- Sukute
After Breakfast, Departure from kathmandu to Sukute (Rafting Base) with private transportation which takes about 2.5 hrs to reach there and meet with rafting crew. After an hour preparation and orientation we paddle down to Dolalghat, which is some 11km down stream and takes some two hours to reach at ending point. We will have the chance to experience river system, river current, grading system of river and beautiful scenery while pass by. This day we will warm-up perfectly to encounter a true adrenalin rush for second day raft. After completion of this trip, we get back to the sukute, have our lunch and over night at the resort.
Morning hot drinks and breakfast. We get ready our gears load on to the vehicle and drive ahead to Khandichaur, some 30 minutes drive away. As on previous days, prepare our gears, a little orientation class and ended paddle down stream. On this day we encounter a lot of rapids one after another, engulf several time with splash of water. We have a jumping rock in between this river trip to jump and swim in the river. After compilation of some 13 km of rafting this way, finally we arrived at our base (Sukute) where you will have lunch and back to Kathmandu with private vehicle. Overnight at the hotel
