Kathmandu & Dhulikhel City tour is a combination of city sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley and Dhulikhel city, a historical city of commerce with Tibet. Kathmandu & Dhulikhel city tour is perfectly designed to meet the requirements of those who love to enjoy with the historical architecture, culture and custom. One will also get an opportunity to visit the place called “Chovar” from where the water of Kathmandu valley had been drained by a lady called Manju Shree in the 7th century when it was a lake. This tour also includes the visits of Historical city “ Kirtipur” , Dakshinkali Temple and typical Newari village called “Khokana” and “Bungmati”. Both villages are famous for the Mustard Oil and typical Newari house made by wood, bricks and clay. Kathmandu & Dhulikhel city tour also includes the six World Heritage site of the valley protected by UNESCO.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Our representative will meet you at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer to the Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu – Swoyanbhunath – Patan

Kathmandu: One of the historical sites in the valley and the Malla Kingdom with visits to the Temple of Kasthamandap, the Kumari House and Durbar Square in front of the Old Palace Complex.

Swoyambhunath: The oldest Stupa in the Valley dedicated to Adi Buddha. Both are UNESCO International Heritage Site

Patan: The Second Old Malla Kingdom in the valley, after Kathmandu, officially known as Lalitpur. Visits to Mahaboudha, Hiranyabarna Mahabihara and the Palace Square, listed as an International Heritage Site.

Day 03: Pashupatinath – Boudhnath – Bhaktapur

Pashupatinath: The holiest site of the Hindus in Nepal, the oldest temple of Lord Shiva believed to have been established in the 4th century B.C. Visit to the Cremation Grounds on the Western Ghat of the holy river, Bagmati.

Boudhanath: The biggest Stupa in Nepal shown in the film LITTLE BUDDHA, built in the center of a Mandala with Tantrik forms of Buddha in the niches at the base. It is believed to have been constructed by woman, who managed to acquire the land for the stupa by skillfully cutting the skin of an animal. It is one of the important places of pilgrimage to the Buddhists from Tibet and Ladakh. Both are UNESCO International Heritage Sites.

Bhaktapur: One of the oldest Malla Kingdoms in the valley, 12 km east of Kathmandu. Visits to Dattatraya Complex dating back to 15th century, which is the main religious complex with the famous Peacock Window and the temple guarded by giants. Walk to Nyatapola, the five roofed – Temple constructed by the King Bhupatindra Malla in the 17th Century and the Palace complex. Visit to the interior of the famous 55 –Window Palace.

After Sightseeing drive to Dhulikhel and overnight in hotel.

Day 04: Dhulikhel Sightseeing

After Breakfast, Sightseeing in Dhulikhel then drive back to Kathmandu, rest day Free.

Dhulikhel: 32km east of Kathmandu, the old township was built during the past period of commerce with Tibet. Visit to the old Town, the Temple of Vishnu and Kali.

Day 05: Excursion Dakshinkali – Chobar – Kritipur

Dakshinkali Temple: The famous temple of the Kali of the South built by the King Pratap Malla of Kathmandu in the 18th Century, famous for animal sacrifice and located 18 km south of Kathmandu.

Chobar: The Legendary Gorge from which the waters of the Kathmandu Lake flew out when the rocks were struck by Manjushree in the 07th Century, who came from the North.

Kritipur: The historical city in the hills for which Prithivinarayan Shah, who unified Nepal in the17th Century, had to fight two battles to incorporate it into the big Kingdom of Nepal. Visits to the Temple of BagBhairab and the Stupa.

Day 06: Visit Bungmati – Khokana

Bungmati: 10km South of Patan, a typical Newari village founded in the 16th Century and famous for mustard oil in the past – typical old houses made with wood, brick & and clay.

Khokana: A typical Peasant village founded in the 14th Century and famous for mustard oil. In the past, typical old houses made with wood, brick & clay.

Dinner in typical Nepali Restaurant with Nepali folk dances.

Day 07:After Breakfast – Departure Transfer to the Airport

Our Airport representative will drop you to the Airport for the flights to onward destination.
